Blessed

He is.  And we are.

DH gave Baby Honey a beautiful blessing.  It made it even more special to have both sets of grandparents and an aunt and uncle in attendance.  The weekend spent with Grandpa Dennis and Grandma Re was very fun.  There was plenty of cuddling of baby, treats to munch on and trains.  Thank you for making the trip out here!

Guess who had two glorious days of 2-hour naps and 9-hour stretches at night?  Yup.  Baby Honey.  For me the sun began to shine a little brighter and saw the rainbow at the end of the journey.  But that's all in the toilet now.  He's back to his usual 2 nighttime feeds.  I  have no issue with those.  It's the 30-minute catnaps/cranky baby/other-kids-needing-me-so-I-can't-rock-him-back-to-sleep rotation that I'm not thrilled with.  It's times like these that I catch myself monologuing in my head.  It's a pity party just for me.  And then I do a mental smack down to remind myself just how extremely fortunate and blessed I'm am.

New resolution: no more complaining ... out loud, here or in my head.  I'll put it in my "Journal To Be Destroyed."

P.S.  It has come to my attention that some of you may have misunderstood my previous P.S. to read that I'm back in my size 6 jeans.  Make a note:
1) I don't own a pair of size 6 jeans.  Last time those were in my drawer was SIXTH GRADE.  My current size is more along the lines of 6 times 12 divided by 8 plus 5.  Haven't my previous posts (this and this) about my thighs taught you people anything?  I don't aspire to ever fit into a 6 again in this lifetime.  A 10, yes (give me 3 consecutive non-birthing years and I'll do it).  Six ... I would need to have a nasty wasting disease caused by some ungodly parasite in my body.  Ewww.  No thanks.
2)  I said that they fit.  That doesn't mean I look great in them, yet.  But, I can wear them without fear of one of the seams busting or the top button undone.  Huzzah!

P.P.S. Can you see who Miss A looks like?

Holy cute outfit Baby Honey!

I so feel your no sleep pain. I'm going to keep complaining though.

p.s. Have you been reading the Rockstar Diaries? She says Huzzah! all the time. I think they're so adorable.

Julia, Baby Honey's blessing outfit is ADORABLE! Frank's looking over my shoulder and he thinks so too. And I totally noticed the resemblance between Miss A and her Gma. Funny.

I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who hasn't fit in size 6 jeans since 6th grade! I'm right there with you. Someday, after my birthing years are over, I'll get back to a 10 too!

He's adorable. And Lane mentioned how much Miss A looked like Gma M when we were on our way to the church.
P.S. I liked your comment on CJane. No, I didn't read all 1057 comments for that post (I was going to comment, but the comment section was closed) I flipped through the first 200 and then hurriedly went to the last page of comments to see if CJane said anything in return. What should my wandering eye see as a scroll down? A little girl dawdling when she should be cleaning her room. "Surely this is Julia" I said to myself. And, of course, I was correct. So, you see, not such a tragedy that I couldn't leave a comment because you burrowed into my future mind and stole the words out of my head ... I really liked the sentence about journalists ...
