Honey and DH were sitting in a chair last playing a tickle game (
where Honey is tickled under the arms and neck by sneaky DH). Honey loves this game and got a little too into it last night and smacked DH on the nose. DH instantly collasped backwards on the chair, his eyes closed and head laying back.
"Dad?" Honey asked.
"Dad?" he asked again, this time peering around his face and looking closely.
"He's out of batteries," he said to me, perfectly explaining in his mind why Dad stopped working.
Will someone please teach this kid to smile?

Ha! Jane says the EXACT same thing. In fact, I had to turn the water off to the toliet this morning (because it's been leaking and running) so when she went potty, I ran in and told her not to flush it yet. She looked at me and said "it's out of batteries?" How often do we say that phrase to our children?
That is so funny! David says something is out of batteries when it won't work. I think kids have the awesome talent of smiling so awkwardly it can make you cringe. We had family pictures
A few weeks ago and I don't know how many times I said ' smile normal!'
Thanks for a good laugh! I hope DH's nose recovered okay! Love the pic!
I got a good laugh out of this one, Julia. I'm not around little kids to hear how they talk now, so it quite caught me by surprise
Hope hubby's nose is ok.
