My typical reply is, "Sometimes." Because sometimes we don't agree on a treatment for our kids. You know, Dr. Mom has Mother Nature's intuition on her side. And I'm kind of a stubborn opinionated Dr. Mom.
But when your holding your tiny infant in your arms and he can barely catch a breath between his stuffy nose and muted lamb-like crying, it's really, really, really nice to have a doctor walk into the nursery with a stethoscope, listen intently to baby's lungs and tell you that he sounds fine on the inside despite not sounding fine on the outside.
I wish I could get you all your own personal pediatrician. But I have dibs on this one.

OOOHHHHH!!!! I'm jealous. I want my own pediatrician! I can't tell you how many times with my wheezers (Ethan and Cade) I would hold them and worry if they were wheezing and count their breaths per minute and wonder if I should take them to emergency or to the doctor the next day because the treatments weren't helping. Thank goodness Carson hasn't had the breathing issues. THEY ARE THE SCARIEST!
You are so lucky. I get so sad when Caleb is sick. It's scary and you just feel bad for the little tykes.
It definitely is more convenient than an auditor. Let's see, what financial statements do I need audited at home today? LOL! :)
I am so grateful for that exact same situation. The neighbors are constantly asking Carl to come and listen to lungs! We find out on Mar. 19 where we match.
Me too, and mine is not up for sale either! He's a FP, but that's pretty close enough and he sees plenty of babies and/or delivers them in his practice. I was super glad to have mine this past week when baby Laney was terribly sick. It is nice to not have to run to the Dr or to the ER because I got one at home. Grateful for both our DHs and all their hard work. Ps. I love the swing......and you could always keep it for #5!

Having a doctor in the house is very reassuring and much easier than loading everyone down to the office. It is nice to have some perks after all this school. Keep listening to mother's intuition though. Sometimes I second guess myself because I don't have all the training. You never know when intuition will save your child's life.
