Please find another family to impersonate. This will better serve your end goal and ours. You might think that we would be a good target. But we have only one credit card, which has a ridiculously low credit limit. So, purchases like the ones a member of your company tried to make this weekend in Florida for more than $300 immediately sends all kinds of red flags off at the credit card monitoring station 1) because we use it for little things like gas and In-N-Out and 2) because we never travel.
As you are probably trying to get the most bang for your (or my) buck, you probably want to go somewhere other than the gas station down the street. What in heavens name can you purchase at a gas station totaling $300? Twice? Were you buying the entire rack of cigarettes? Yah. That's not suspicious at all.
And why are you all in Florida? Besides the good weather, what mysterious qualities does it hold for you and yours? Now and forever, I will associate this state with criminals. Thanks a lot.
Unaffectionately yours,
The woman you tried to rip off

That is my nightmare.
We have a Chase Card and I gotta say that they are AWESOME! About two years ago I got a phone call that some punk in California was trying to buy about $500 worth of who knows what at the grocery store (I think). It looked fishy to them and notified me and took care of it! Anyways, long story short, I love Chase Card. By the way, Florida is lovely.....:o) You should go sometime, Rich's uncle lives there and I am pretty sure he isn't a criminal.
(sigh) We were targeted a week before Eme was born. Someone in New Jersey buying $600 worth of merchandise at RITE AID. Yeah, b/c if I could try for a free shopping spree it would be there.
I still haven't gotten around to checking our credit report... but living in CA today I am sure it doesn't matter much.
Sorry about your tires. :( Glad everyone is safe.
Someone spent 300 at Payless in El Paso Texas on our card- must have been lots of cowboy boots! This has happened three times to us since we moved here a year ago! CA is full of scammers. Sorry you had that happen- its a bummer.
Totally freaks me out. I can't tell you how many times I've given my information to people over the past few days to complete this move. On the plus side, when I bought my washer and dryer, the CC company called right away. Obviously 2 years of no use scared them when they saw the amount trying to go through.
Sorry about the scam ...
Nice letter. :) Sorry about the stupid people. :(
