C is 3

Turning three brings a lot of responsibility.  The magical birthday is akin to turning 18 or 21.  Legally there are a lot of things that Mr. C, the newest three old, can now do.  The world of toys has become his playground, with virtually all toys within his recommended age limit.  No more 0-3 (red circle, line through it) will hold him back now.  He is no longer a freebie, needing a paying ticket to go most places, like the zoo or Disneyland.  Three is a big deal.

And so, giving it the due it needed, we gave #3's third birthday its just rewards.  The morning started with Dad's giant Belgian waffles, topped with syrup, strawberries and whipped cream.  The birthday boy danced around with joy when I brought out his 3 gifts from mom and dad (a Dinco helicopter, Cars collection set, and Lightening McQueen jump thingy).  We lunched in the park with Grammie and Main Man on novel fare (KFC and chocolate bars).  The afternoon was spent at the zoo, enjoying C's first and last free day.  And in the end, we came home, opened presents and enjoyed the racetrack birthday cake.

All in all a most magical day.  Here's to C, who is now three!

Happy birthday to my Little C! I feel like it was just yesterday that I was in that luxurious hospital room holding him for the first time. How I wish we could have been there! Put on a photo of the birhday cake! I can NOT believe he is 3. I can't imagine how you feel.

I think Elliot would love a CARS birthday every year. I am so glad he didn't see that set of cars you brought to church... he would have had a siezure.

I forgot he has the same birthday as Jacob. Jacob was so tired from afternoon church he fell asleep at the dinner table. We postponed the party to family home evening. Happy birthday Mr. C.
