Sweet 6

He looks at me with lover's eyes everyday.  That's why it's so easy to forget that I'm not the most beautiful woman in the world right now.

At six months old, Baby Honey has completely rocked our world.  Our family is, of course, so different with him in it.  It's hard to remember what we were like before he came along.

Yes, I slept.  But come on!  How boring is sleep?  It's so much more exciting to cuddle a baby (I'm half joking/half serious).  He is doing fair in this department, BTW.  I let him have free rein of the crib about 4 days ago and introduced a new video monitor into his life.  Holy cow.  This kid is a violent sleeper.  No wonder he only naps for 45 minutes.  And that he wakes up 10 times a night.  He's movin' and jerkin' the whole time.  The first night with the monitor I had to turn it off, it was so painful to watch.  I didn't turn it on again for 2 days.  Now, I'm kind of used to it.  It's nice to peek in on him and know that he's not screaming because the blankets over his head, it's just because he smacked himself in the face.

Honey is not too sweet on food.  Which is just par for the course.  He looks like Mr. M and acts like him too, I guess.  Have I ever told you about Mr. M's first birthday?  No?  Well, long story short, I spent the entire day creating the cutest caterpillar cake to commerate the big day and Mr. M wouldn't so much as touch the thing.  I couldn't even get the cake near him without a shudder of disgust.  I'm expecting Honey will be the same.  A diet strictly of water, yogurt and crackers.  But for now, it's still just momma's milk for this guy.  I definitely got my wish to have a good nurser.  He's yet to have a bottle.  I'm a little crazy, I know.  But loving it.

He is so cute. I love to hear home at church. You say he is so loud, I guess I am just used to it since I have my own blabber, cuz I don't notice.

I was so determined to not give Logan a bottle. I was successful, but it was still rewarding to know that he loved me and my milk. I did use the Sassy Infant Feeder (you can get it on Ebay or at Babies R Us) to give him solids. It was the biggest time saver that you could possilby imagine. Plus, my kids ate foods out of that bottle that they wouldn't touch with a spoon. I just dump any bottle of pureed baby food into it and viola! My kids' favorite was actually the baby oatmeal mixed with apple juice or baby fruit. I just can't tell ya how much I LOVE this thing! (It never messed up my nursing.)
