To get over this backlog blogging hump I'm going to employ the list:
:: Made the most delicious ice cream: Toasted Almond Caramel Ice Cream. Took the Caramel Ice Cream recipe from here and tweaked it a bit. Next time I'm going to just make Toasted Almond, my current fav. Adding in the caramel taste was a bit much. But still bowl-lickin' good.
:: Sent off some v. cute burp cloths (if I do say so myself) to 2 new nephews (one in, one out). Funny thing. I've made plenty of lovely cloths for other people, but Honey never got his own set. I guess that's what happens when your #4.
:: After a very rough, rough month in the PICU, DH and I literally danced for joy Sunday night that he was done, done, DONE! No more PICU, ever. Then he got a call at 9:30. He needed to be in the PICU Monday to cover for another resident. Bu-mmer. Life fraught with irony, isn't it?
:: Honey is not nursing well lately. It's so frustrating. He'll nurse for 1 minute, then stop and use all of his energy to twist away and stare at the door of the nursery. These are uncharted waters for me. Do I just go with the flow and let him starve?
:: 25 days until we move. I don't even know where to begin.
:: Miss A doing her homework this morning: "Mom, what's an Encloyclopedia?" Me: "It's like Google. It has all the answers in it." That made perfect sense to her.
:: I spent one glorious afternoon in the company of some old friends. They were in town for their yearly get together and I was invited to come say hi. It was wonderful. After years of not seeing these ladies, I was nervous like a first date. I was a complete clown. But it was easy to catch up and pick up like old times. Thanks for inviting me along girls!
:: We're set to go camping this weekend in Yosemite. I am TERRIFIED. Not of bears. Or bugs. Or dirt. But of Baby Honey. This could be bad. V. bad. Hopefully I'm overreacting.

Dude, V cute burp clothes for sure. (Do you hate the word VERY?)
And the sweet boy isn't starving, promise. Do you like to drink milk when you are not feeling well?
(Refuse to read any more posts with #s that count down.)
JULIA- Josh, Julia & Drew are going camping right next to Yosemite this weekend! Too bad I'm not going (but really, not too bad because I hate camping!!!).
how do you make those super cute burp cloths? do you have a tutorial or a link to someplace that does? I love them!
My philosophy is expect the worst and you will be pleasantly suprised. I always dread camping with my kids but always am so glad I did. I hope the same goes for you. Have a relaxing time. You will need it with the move and all. I am so sad you are leaving.
I'll have to make a tutorial sometime. I made the pattern up myself and got the monogram idea from my friend Mique (who has a 30 days blog over there that has some great tutorial links).
Thanks!
