Pre-Pedi

It's become a tradition on our family for all of the girls (plus any additional bridesmaids) to get a pedicure before the wedding day. I think I got mine with my sisters. But it's been so long it's hard to remember exactly. Blame it on the subsequent pregnancies, I say. But I do remember Katie's distinctly. I was pregnant for her wedding. And then there was Rachel's. We teased her about her toes because they're so cute.

So with Diana (being the last sister to get married) we all gathered for the last Pre-Pedi of the sisterhood. I'm sure that there will be plenty of Due Date Pedis to come (another Julia forged tradition). And a big thanks to Mom who is always there with card in hand to pick up the tab!

Miss A was beyond thrilled to included in the tradition, though the stylist misunderstood and painted her fingernails instead. And I'm pretty sure this is where we picked up that nasty stomach flu 1) because I watched with horror as they moved from person to person without cleaning their tools at all (a collective ewww, please) and therefore 2) if they weren't cleaning the tools then they most likely weren't washing their hands or cleaning their stations. And since we all got sick 3 days after exposure, she was the only one to pick it up Tuesday night. Can you tell I'm a little OCD about germs? Believe me we all pay the price when I let my guard down. Regardless of the undesirable souvenir, I'm still enjoying my pretty french tipped toenails.

Oh man... I think we should open our own salon. My vision: Clorox wipes hang from dispensers EVERYWHERE. Bleach is free flowing... tools go in a fire for disinfecting.
