Invincible Me

I'm throwing in the towel and dragging myself to the doctor's today. I've been sick for 3+ weeks now, and it's just getting old. My symptoms have ranged from aches, congestion (nose and chest), sore throat that lasted over a week, extreme fatigue, chills, low fever and now THE worst headache ever. I mean, I get migraines, so I'm used to bad ones. But this has been bad for 24 hours now and it doesn't feel like my usual migraines.

What do you think I have?

a. the swine flu

b. lots of stuff

c. nothing, it's all in your head

d. Hepatitis A

e. Mono (had once before)

f. pregnant

g. West Nile virus

I'll let you know what the prognosis is later today. My guess is C.

UPDATE: Went to the doctor, where he seemed equally concerned about the server headache (with neck stiffness and eye pain). Ended up getting a lot of blood drawn for tests (which, I'm not sure). And going for a Head CT. When he said that I could have crawled under the table and died. I pride myself on being the strong one. He did ask me why I waited 3 weeks before coming in. Because, every time I finally give in and go to the doctor, just being there scares the symptoms away and I feel like I'm rationalizing why I'm really sick. No really, I am, or was! So today, just to follow my typical pattern, 1 hour after getting the CT, I started to feel a lot better. I could turn my neck again, move my eyes side to side, bend over. He said he's call tomorrow to tell me the results of all the tests.

The prognosis: C ... probably.

Oh! And you guys that answer sinus infection may be right. The scan did show a "clearing" sinus infection. Why it caused such a weird headache at the end ... who knows. But good riddance.
