Obviously too much happiness can make a child go mad. And those carousel horses. Going round and round with those silly fake smiles plastered on their mouths. They are so taunting.
And Miss A's face looked like this.
Little C was in Mousey heaven. And wouldn't you know it, the best picture take of my kids that week had a large mouse in it. I've considered wearing a costume for family photos for now on. Clearly you can see the difference an adult in costume makes for a good picture.
DH has a mask looking like this one. Would that work?
No seriously, do you think I could paste DH, Honey and I in that picture and make it work for our Christmas cards??
Everything went swimmingly well, with only a few minor set backs. It rained. Which was fine once I bought an umbrella at Target. My "meal plan" was a flop. I had planned on a light breakfast, midday snacks and a nice restaurant dinner for all of the days. That lasted approximately 10 minutes after our first breakfast when Miss A intoned, "I'm starving. STARRRVINGG. Can I have some cotton candy?" Which she then followed up with whining and begging at 1 minute intervals until I caved and purchased something to shut her up. What? It's the Disney way. Placate. Bribery. And flat out extortion. We ended up spending a month's worth of grocery money in 5 days. Whooo! Oh, and the sleeping arragnements. Yeah. If you plan on taking an infant under 2 on vacation, do yourself and your entire family a favor and book two rooms. One for the sleepers. And one for the up every few hours criers (including the package-deal mom).
The only real bummer was the 32 hours of driving with Honey who mutated into Horror once inside the van. I think he cried for 24 of those 32 hours. Oh vey. I don't want to do that again. Oh wait. Scratch that. I will be doing that again this weekend. This calls for drugs (for me, not him).

Oh how I love Disneyland! I become a kid all over again. Disneyland food is such a big rip off though - seriously soooo expensive. Glad you had a good time!
Oh it looks like 10 years of med school/res prepared you and DH for the happiest place on earth for a week. Nice work. And glad the mud slides didn't damper your drive.
Now you know you can handle ANYTHING!
I wish wish WISH (maybe if I say it enough times, it will come true soon) that we could have been there with you. (I would have asked DH to scream at the Haunted Mansion again, just to see if we could get another kid to cry.) I want to visit the big D during October so badly!
I can't believe how old Miss A and Mr. M look in that photo with Mickey. They're really growing up.
Did you get the tickets that I told you about. I hope so with all the money you spent on food. Also, I love how you capture the true essence of the trip through the tantrums and sad looks. You always say it how it is and that is what I LOVE ABOUT JULIA!
I am jealous of Disneyland. What would a Disneyland trip be without screaming kids? It's the overload. And yes, put your face in the photo with Mickey for Christmas cards. That is such a good photo of the three oldest!
