Crafting: This is what I've been doing the past couple of days ... creating Santa's village in paper, plastic and glue for my mom's Festival tree. These are paper mache houses I found at the craft store. The woodworkers house's roof is pinecone spines I cut off and glued one by one. And Santa's house? I made each of those bricks with red paper and chipboard, glue them together, then on. And then putting sparkle hot glue in for the mortar. Crazy? Yes. Mind-numbingly satisfying? Um, yeah. I have problems, obviously. Still in the works: reindeer stables, snow factory, Santa's workshop and elves' tower. I'll show and tell when they're done.
Vaca-ing: Off to So-Cal to hang out with the brothers. We'll miss him.
Celebrating: A year with Honey. 2 days and counting.
Bonus: New member of the family (for my sister, Rachel): My dream table came to live with us last week. Chairs are on order (and the ones we have are pushed against walls since all Honey wants to do is climb on top). It's nekid right now, but once I get a couple of things checked off my list, I'll be putting up curtains and some linens.

Okay Julia, so I want to buy your mom's festival tree, just so I can have the village. Will it be at the Sacramento festival? love and miss you, Andrea
LOVE the table. LOVE it. I am sitting in a sea of envy right now.
And, yes, you are crazy. But brilliant with the crafts, so it kinda makes it OK. Oh, that I could be you.
Cute walking boy...always impressed with the things you craft...heard your hubby was going to be in the neighborhood...again, VERY cute almost one year old...awesome table, look forward to seeing photo of finished look!
ohhhhh, ahhhhhhh! For real.
SUPER Nice work: with the boy, table and crafts.
Love the table and the shutters and the wood floors...and baby honey is growing up too quickly! And wow! Can you send me a couple of your village pieces for Christmas? Or at least tutorials?
