After months and months of waiting, our Aaron Chairs finally joined our table. Actually, only two made it to the tuck in. We're still awaiting the other 4, which after 6 months of waiting, are feeling more like an expectant arrival than a delivery of furniture.
The Pottery Barn sales people at our local store who have fielded our queries throughout this past year have repeatedly reminded us that a high-quality product takes time to produce, especially they said, since the chairs are made in ITALY. Yes, numerous time they told us, "They are made in Italy, you know." As if we've always wanted Italian made chairs under our bums and leather on our feet. And we should be willing to wait for such a privilege.
When the box containing the pair of chairs came to the house I was a bit taken back. Because I guess the people at Pottery Barn spell Italy, T-A-I-W-A-N.
Let the Buyer be ware. What you think you're getting may or may not be what you think you are.

I find myself wondering why, after six months, you only have two, yet when you click on the link you provided to the Aaron Chairs, it says "Fast 5-Day Delivery!" Can't you ask them to include you on that "Fast 5-Day Delivery!"?
P.S. I think you should call the store frantic, claiming someone must have diabolically diverted your chairs and sent you substitutes, since the box reads Taiwan, not that I think the chairs are any less beautiful, which P.P.S., I'm still waiting for the big photo unveil of the table.
Ha ha! I too think you should call the store frantic with your concern of receiving chairs from Taiwan :) Ya know, just to see what they say.
Hmmm, if the chairs from Taiwan take so long, who really knows how long those from Italy will take.
I think you should send it all back. And buy tools, fly me out, and we will make all the PB inspired furniture you want in a week.
IN A WEEK. FROM THE USA.
Yeah, my dad get tile from "Italy" and it took for days to get. I don't know what these people think that we think that since it is from Italy that it is worth the wait or something. It is not. It looks like anything we would get here. I think you should take the Jessica challenge and see what you come up with.
That is funny! I sure hope that they really are the good quality that will last through kids! We are thinking about buying a sienna, but I know that you have mentioned that yours has seemed to need a lot of repairs. Is it worth it? Do you have any warnings or recommendations for us? thanks!

My goodness, Julia, it has been 10 days since you wrote and I miss you. Are you all OK? I don't expect to hear from Diana but it's fun to see Rachel's and Katie's and your blog. I look for it practically every day. It's been a long dry spell. . .I'm dying of THIRST!
