Discovery

I never want to forget how he looks in this photo.  How many times have I seen my children's faces from this angle?  Looking down at them from above.  Their plump cheeks catching the light just so.  Their eyes downcast, examining something in their hands.  The smooth lines of their faces perfectly beautiful and serene in one moment.  And then it's gone.  They grow and thin.  They move fast and move on.  The moments come much less now with the others.  And I don't want to forget how much I've loved looking at their innocent faces exploring the world.  Or what they looked like in those perfect moments of discovery.

I love that you took this photo- I totally agree with everything you wrote (about my own kids), that look is priceless and probably happens more often than the smiling-at -the-camera face, so it's fitting that you capture it. I want to remind myself to capture similar looks and moments with my little one.

You're an amazing mom- I just know it.
Happy Mothers Day!
