Long time

Gosh, I can't believe I haven't posted in so long.  It used to be just part of my routine to post almost everyday.  Summer is so busy, plus I've got the computer commando to deal with every time I sit down to try and get something done.  He climbs in my lap and grabs the mouse and absolutely refuses to let me even touch it.  Not even once.  He so wears the pants in this relationship.

Speaking of Honey, he's becoming more and more verbal.  Which ultimately means we've entered into the land of tantrums.  Yesterday I took all of the kids shoe shopping.  Mr. M needed new shoes.  Little C needed two pairs, one for church and one "running" shoe (which is what he calls it since I'm sure he's listened to DH and I look for our own running shoes).  And Missy needed a new pair.  We got through one  store with Honey screaming at the top of his lungs.  But I announced for all to hear that it didn't bother me and that shopping would go on.  Good thing too, because we found the coolest pair of hightops for Missy.  Serisously.  They look like Punky Brewster meets the modern era.  I think they're cool.  But maybe they aren't.  They were on clearance for just $7 in the women's department, making them that much cooler in my book.

Back to Honey.  After that store, I was brave enough to think that one more store would be okay.  Well, I was wrong.  Honey turned into a raging ball of fury because I wouldn't let him run around and pull shoes off displays.  It was embarrassing.  After 15 minutes of terrorizing the store, we had to leave.  And no one wished me a nice day as we left.  Because frankly, they probably thought that was next to impossible.

Little C has become my fashionista.  He insists that he needs new clothes, "not the old ones you put in my drawer."  Hand-me-down don't measure up to his standards, I guess.  I do feel for him.  I clearly remember what it was like to wear the clothes my sister grew out of.  Sometimes it was cool.  Other times, not so much.  But Little C doesn't like it.  So I promised we'd get a few new shirts for him.

As for Mr. M, he spends his time either playing Wii, thinking about Wii, asking to play Wii, playing outside until he can play Wii, or reading.  Seriously.  Such a good kid.  But we are getting a little tired of the Wii.

And me.  I'm contemplating life.  I'm thinking about doing something drastic when school starts.  Like leave.  For maybe an hour or three each week to go to a class.  Or find an organization here and volunteer.  It's not that I'm bored, or have time on my hands.  Quite the opposite, which is the cause for the lack of posts.  I'm just ready to shake things up a bit.  Meet some people who don't leave within a 1/2 mile of me.  Think about other things/people than just the weird Smiths.  You know.  It's getting to be about time, I think.  Don't you?

Trevor loves electronics or reading too. That's it. Good thing soccer and school is starting because I am tired of him wanting electronics-especially WII! So cute about Little C. Funny how they care about clothes at that age. I too love going shcpping with my babes. Always so peaceful and calm-not.
