The obsession began to take root early this spring when I was searching for the right plants to put in our yard. On my runs I no longer looked forward to the ipod and kicking tunes, but rather watching yards along the way to see what that plant looked like in spring or this plant looked like in summer. And it was in full bloom this summer as I planted, preened and babied all the new species we located to our yard.
But now I'm in throes. This week all I can think about is which plants I need to move to better spots. I joked with DH that I was moving plants around like furniture. He didn't laugh. And I worry at night about how I'm going to phase out the rock in my yard to be replaced with more plant-friendly mulch. Or which new plants I should buy to add a little fall color. My mind is consumed with concern over my trees that are clearly not thriving in their full-sun spots and what I can do to help them.
Just last week my children complained loudly that there wasn't anything to eat in the house. There wasn't. Because I spent nearly all of my grocery money on more plants. And this week I'm thinking about doing the same thing.
I think I have a problem.

I can relate. I drive around looking at which plants do well in shade and bloom at certain times of year. Good luck with the rearrange and just get some canned soup for dinner.
Buy edible foliage. Then have a really awesome family photo with a back drop of your awesome plants.
Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha. You are too funny.
