I'm wondering if that's how Obama is feeling tonight. Is he dreading tomorrow? Or is he one of the few people that actually look forward with relish to starting new job? Will he be able to sleep at all tonight?
Mothering duties took me away from seeing the actual swearing in and speech. The first I saw of the new president and his wife was the film from the motorcade approaching the White House. At one point, they both exited the cars and started to walk, all smiles and waves, down the street. Although in the beginning I didn't think he was the man, I couldn't help but to be inspired today and shed a tear. I was so impressed by their confidence and spirit. And the spirit that it seems the whole country is taking from him. Today, for the first time in a long time, I felt our nation was united, behind this one man. And even though there are many things that he and I don't see eye to eye on, that doesn't mean that I can't root for him. I'm hoping that he succeeds in his new job. Because if he does, it means our country does.
Good luck, Mr. President!

I agree with you. Now that he's running the country, I pray he does a fantastic job.
totally agree with you. We watched from over here and I felt excited and inspired by how united our country seems to be. I also wondered those same things: "what is going through his head, their heads right now"?
on a different note. I'm ready for my countdown, but feel like I should be preparing for an overdue giveaway too!
