From the Piglets

We were all aflutter this weekend over meeting our new, soon-to-be uncle.  The kids were infatiuated, particularly Miss A.  She commented several times on how strong he must be.  And Mr. M took to him quite quickly.  He had a couple of conversations with Dan that I was informed of later.

Dan:  I'm so excited to be part of your family.
Mr. M:  Um, not yet.  See, we're like a couple of magnets.  When you put them close together they pull toward each other and then SNAP!  They're together.  We're almost together.

Mr. M:  Dan, sometimes I stare a lot.  Don't be scared.  I stare when I'm thinking hard.  And you probably shouldn't bother me.

Little C wasn't as quick to buy a ticket on the Dan Love Boat.  At one point, while we were all swimming together he kept calling to Diana to come sit by him on the step.
Little C:  Diana, you can sit here (patting the step next to him).  And you (pointing to Dan) I think there's a seat over there (motioning to the other side of the pool).

But in the end, we were all won over by his funny stories and friendly manner.  We're so excited for our new friends and soon-to-be brother/uncle!  Three cheers for Dan and Diana and Love (little joke of mine).  Oh!  And all 475 invites are done, all in the midst of 2 birthdays, packing, Father's Day and a bridal shower.  I'm eating caramel today to recuperate.

Last night, after getting out of bed several times and being scolded, Little C tried a new tactic.

Little C: (peeking around the corner from the hallway) Mom, you'd my best friend.
Me:  You're my best friend too, but you better get your buns in bed.
Little C:  You'd my best friend and you can keep the door open and not close it (the punishment for getting out of bed).  But don't crack it, 'cause it will break in two.

You have cute kids. I'm hoping Mason ends up being as cute looking as Little C. I could eat him up!!!
