That's right. We're back home, about 5 days sooner than we planned. We made a hasty exodus after I returned home from Dallas to find that my daughter had been sick and DH and Little C were coming down with it. When I assessed the situation we had 2 achey, 1 barfy, and 3 more potential victims. It's a vile, very contagious stomach flu apparently. So, I made an executive decision not to lay around Grandma's house for 5 days while we fell one by one. I packed up my family and hit the road in about 30 minutes. Five hours later, in the wee hours of the morning, we pulled into our garage. Just in time to have Little C barf in his own home. Home, sweet home.
Today, poor Mr. M has succumbed. Honey and I are just waiting our turns. It should be by this weekend. That is said with as much enthusisum as I can muster, for one who detests the stomach flu almost as much as I hate cleaning the bathrooms (which should tell you something).
Last night as I drove northwest, with the family snoozing, I had a lot of time to think. I came to a few earth shattering conclusions:
1. The hero always rides off into the sunset because the other way is just plain boring. Gratefully, the heroine in our story was heading west, so there was a beautiful desert sunset to entertain her. The sky went from a golden glowey yellow, orange and green to a smashing blood red with hints of purple over the course of an hour. It was glorious.
2. There are approxiamately 24 powdered donuts in the Hostess mini donuts box. Just kidding. I actually lost count at 10 and then thought I better stop lest I require the use of the barf bucket myself. Those are good about 5 in and then they just get sugary sick.
3. If you hold a water bottle up to the steering wheel the horizon is inverted inside. V. cool. Like your own personal ship in a bottle, only there's no ship in sight, just a brilliant sunset (see #1).
4. Coming home from vacation stinks. Real life is a real witch to face.
5. If I ever have a B&B in Idaho, I'll name is Idahome Lodge ... "where Udahome."
Today I'm missing my family and friends that I've left behind this past month. Tears have fallen. But I am excited to share what we've been up to! Eating, Marriage, Babies, Family, Airplanes and Humidity. Oh, and Gene Wilder. Let me go find the camera cable ... I'll be right back.

Anyway- I hope you had a great day. Please email or call when you get a sec- which judging by this post won't be anytime soon.
I was thinking of you Monday.
Love you.
I 2nd the belated Birthday wishes.
For the record, I made you a wonderful little something and it was ready AND FINISHED on time. It is slightly better than the (still) unfinished "Shhh" pillow I started for Baby Honey. harhar
Let me know where to send it (off the deep end? Hell? The laundromat?)
I like the name, I'll come stay there once you start said business. :)
