Multiply times 2

Okay, so are some of you wondering how goes it with 8 kids under 1 roof (most of the time ... they sleep at their own houses).  Let me just say, we're all fine.  Let me also say, the thought, "How in the world do families like the Duggars do it?" enter my mind several times a day.  I honestly think that the only way families of this size could make it through day after day, week by week is if the older children are given part of the child rearing responsibilities, like, getting a younger child dressed and brushed, babysitting, etc.  As of right now, I do all of those things for each of my children.  I don't expect the older ones, just because of birth order, to toe my line.  But this week, they've been made to.

At the end of each day, thus far, DH has asked me to recite 3 positives.  Probably because I told him several times that his pessimistic attitude leading up to this week was really dragging me down.  But I find that he's now the one reminding me that the end of the day that it was for the most part enjoyable.

Does that mean I'm going to run out and get pregnant?  No way!  I told DH after day one, when he came home from work and chaos and noise were my best friends, this absolute brainless confusion, and bone-deep frustration at nothing is how I feel after having a baby.  For like 8 months.  It's nice to experience it again and know that there is a very near end to it!

So what have we done?  Well, it's rained all day every day since the two families Brady-ized, so not much. But the two older girls and I did escape to the craft store and bought out half of it.  See, there isn't any school today, and DH is at work ... so we're having a craft day naturally!  I'll try to remember to dig out the camera to document the fun (ha!  the fun!).  We did make it to church, although we gave Sacrament meeting a pass.  Ooops.  DH was on call and it just wouldn't work for me to go with 8 kids by myself.  Sorry, I'm not Superwoman (although I always envied her thighs).
