10 days. 8 kids. 2 houses. 2 parents. 4 school days. That's what we are embarking upon starting Friday. Remember that cruise for which I sang praises? Well, while we were gone our neighbors across the street were the ones who watched the kids. And now it's their turn. They are about to leave for the time of their lives and for us, it's pay back time!
I'm actually really excited for them. We had such a good time, it's worth whatever painful experiences the next ten days might hold to let them have a similar experience. Plus, it's super nice that living across the street, the kids get to sleep in their own beds and really keep to their routine.
Don't get me wrong though. I am nervous. And that's why, while cooking for next week's meals, I ate an entire loaf of bread. That's my story. And I'm sticking with it.

Wow! I'd be scared too! Can't wait to hear the details!
You are so funny. Anytime you're feeling the strain, go hide in your closet and give me a call. I'm really good at justifying things (you know that) and I'll justify away any loaves of bread or pints of ice cream.
I know you can do it. Just think of how empowered you will feel when you are back to only 4. It will feel like a piece of cake.
